General Policies

By confirming a booking with us you accept the following policies. Please read them carefully.

Mobility and Disabled Access

We comply with the access requirements of current legislation. If you have any special requirements please inform us at the time of booking.

Insurance

It is your responsibility to take out insurance cover for unexpected cancellations or curtailment of your stay, as well as the loss of baggage, personal affects or money. We do not accept responsibility for any losses you incur.

Children

The maximum occupancy of room is based on the total number of persons occupying the room at any one time. Children are included in the maximum occupancy numbers.
High chairs and cots are available on request. Please let us know your requirements and we will reserve whatever you need.
All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Smoking

We operate a strict no-smoking policy throughout the property. Failure to comply will result in an automatic charge of £200 being made to your account.

Damage

You are personally responsible for any damage caused to the apartment, hotel or the furnishings of the hotel by you or a member of your party (or anyone visiting your apartment). If any such damage is sustained, whether deliberately or accidentally, you shall be liable to pay on demand the amount required to make good or remedy such damage. Smartmove Hotel Group is expressly authorised to make a charge to your credit card for the full amount due.

Security

We have a night porter patrolling the site throughout the duration of the night, and is contactable by calling 01205 500501. 24 hour CCTV is recording communal and external areas of this hotel.

Departure

On check-out, please ensure that your room is in an acceptable manor, with rubbish placed in the bins provided. Please report any damage to us. Ensuring that your room door is securely shut behind you. Keys should be deposited in the key return box by the out-of-hours entrance/exit.

Force Majure

We shall not be in breach of these terms, nor liable for any failure to perform any of our obligations in relation to your booking (such as the provision of apartment(s) and/or other products and/or services and/or extras) due to any adverse event, act, omission or accident which happens beyond our reasonable control including, but not limited to, flood, earthquake, extreme adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, other acts of God, acts of terrorism, interruption or fire or failure of (except by way of our default) electric power, gas, water, or other utility service, plant machinery, computers, vehicles or any collapse of building structures. Neither can we control the noise levels of traffic or pedestrians in the proximity of the property. Please bear in mind that the property is situated in the town centre, which is why it is so convenient for local amenities and attractions.

Cancellation

If it is necessary to cancel your booking, you can do so up until 14 days before the intended day of your arrival without incurring a charge. You will be given a cancellation reference number that you will need to quote in any future correspondence regarding this booking. To cancel your booking call us on 01205 500501.

If you fail to comply with our cancellation policy you will be charged the equivalent to the cost of your stay. This also applies to apartments within group bookings.
Very rarely, we may have to cancel your booking. We will inform you as soon as possible and offer you alternative accommodation of the same standard, or higher, or offer a full refund. We cannot pay compensation or any reimbursement of any expenses or costs you may incur as a result of any such cancellation or change.

Parties

Parties and gatherings are not permitted in any property.
Any parties seen to be occurring will immediately be ended and all guests made to leave. No refund will be given following the eviction. Any damage sustained to any property will be charged to the property booker.

Disturbances

The management reserve the right to ask any guest to vacate their room with immediate effect if they are witnessed to be causing a disturbance to other guests. This may include being intoxicated, violent, aggressive, causing nuisance with loud music, fireworks or other reasons at the discretion of the directors or hotel security.
